Have you guys checked our our website www.rebel4men.com?
There you can find a lot of articles, videos, and discussions that can't be found in the magazine. This month, we interviewed 11 year baseball veteran, who spent 8 years as the Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder, Al Martin. Here you can find a great article/interview with Al Martin, along with videos and a discussion board for your comments.

And since it's summer here's a quick "did you know...."
Did you know (pros) of sunscreen
--Without sunscreen or sunblock, your body absorbs nearly all of the sun’s rays, which greatly increases the risk of sunburn and possible skin cancer.
--Wearing sunscreen continually over a long period of time (years) helps keep your skin looking younger.
Did you know (cons) of sunscreen
--Five of the commonly found chemicals used in UVB screens behaved like oestregen in lab tests, making cancer cells grow more rapidly. Three of them caused developmental defects in animals.
--Sunscreens and sunblocks containing PABA, which most common ones do, have been found to actually damage DNA.

Here is the comment of the week, we always love recommendations, especially ways to save money. Thanks Lexie!

"Over spring break i took a trip to Sonoma, California and did the whole vineyard tour thing- but I went to private vineyards that are less well known they were great and much cheaper then the mainstream ones!
Sonoma is beautiful this time of year and there a lot of cute little restaurants and coffee shops around there too"

Remember to post your thoughts on rebel4men.com

Thanks for all the support
Ill leave with a quote from one of my favorite rebels.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Rebel Magazine

Rebel media is a group of guys (and a handful of girls) that believe in change. Not cosmetic change found in spray-on tans and six pack abs, but the sort of transitional change inspired from within. This might sound odd coming from a media outlet... that's OK. We hope

through our publication, website, and community outreach to raise awareness, generate buzzworthy chatter and challenge today's cultural norms. We hope to promote a perspective that is rare in our society. A perspective that is pure and purposeful. Common. Clear. Committed. Our goal is to expose the issues that affect men, and why. The real issues. The kind men face in tough times and flush times. The kind that challenge character and create better individuals.

Let's face it: men are notoriously poor communicators. By examining pop culture in unique and informative ways, rebel hopes to create a platform in which men can feel comfortable discussing real issues. Admittedly, some of the topics we cover will induce feelings of angst, guilt, and sometimes denial. But through a collaborative effort of strong and safe networks, we believe men can be more effective communicators, better leaders... better human beings. We know that our content can, at times, be challenging; but isn't that what creates a rebel? Exposing the truths behind popular issues and discovering a root cause is the rebel intent. We have our lighthearted moments, we aren’t always “edgy”. Men are men, after all. We like nice things. So rebel will also explore the latest in health, wellness, travel, art

s, entertainment and more. But with a bit of a rebellious nature. After all, we're not mainstream media. We challenge today’s popular culture.

The current issue discusses sex addiction - a topic that has plagued our society for years, and
until recently, be regarded as a condition, rather than an illness. The recent Tiger Woods scandal, paired with the Jesse James betrayal has helped bring sexual addiction to t
he mainstream media. With the help of the Sonoran Healing Center in Phoenix, AZ, rebel tackles this tough issue and defines, among other things, the composition of sexual addiction. Other great topics in this issue deal; "women on men" we take three female bloggers and ask them to expose the truth on Affliction, the men
's clothing line. We also interview former Pittsburgh Pirates baseball star Al Martin, and find out how an elite athlete and formidable sports star deals with loss, g
rief, and healing......

The next issue, our Moral Issue, is set to his newsstands on August 1, 2010.
